Siberian Huskies are pack animals and they need a pack leader and if you don't become the leader they will. They are strong-willed animals, and most of them do better with an experienced dog owner. Some people consider Huskies stubborn, but it is more accurate to say that they are determined and persevering — necessary qualities in a good sled dog. Are you willing to put the time into training and not letting them boss you around? We have been breeding for 30+ years and our biggest issue we face today is the new generation is not training their dogs so the dog becomes alpha and although normal in a pack of dogs, but with humans this leads to behavior problems that some people can not handle (mouthing, even biting, jumping etc...) Yes huskies are beautiful but they need allot of exercise and training. Are you willing and able to be pack leader? Not everyone is able to and failing to do so not only harms that dog but can damage the reputation of the breed in general which is disastrous for huskies and their future. If you are not able to be a leader there is no shame in it but then please seek out an easier breed. If you are not sure please contact me prior to discuss.
